Lighting Troubleshooting

Primary tabs

Hello Hub Lighting system troubleshooting:

  1. Visual check of fuse

    1. If blown: replace fuse and recheck

    2. If ok, continue below

  2. Check all wiring & terminations for breaks and terminal disconnections

    1. If disconnected or broken, reconnect wiring and recheck

    2. If ok, continue below

  3. Check switch operation

    1. Connect the positive lead of a multi-meter or 12v light to the output side of the switch, and the negative wire to the negative terminal on the hub power distribution panel. The reading should be approx 12v when the switch is turned on. Toggle the switch and the light should go off and on. If the voltage tests ok (or the light turns on/off), then the LED light is dead. Replace LED lights and recheck.

    2. If the voltage test fails (or light does not turn on/off), continue.

  4. Check input side of switch

    1. Connect the positive lead of a multi-meter or 12v light to the input side of the switch, and the negative wire to the negative terminal on the hub power distribution panel. The reading should be approx 12VDC. If the voltage tests ok (or the light turns on), then the Switch is broken. Replace switch and recheck.
